SDCM, the creative brain trust behind several of San Diego’s nationally acclaimed restaurants, including the Michelin Bib Gourmand award- winning Kettner Exchange and North County’s chic culinary gem, Waverly, proudly present Camino Riviera, a sultry and creative celebration of the Yucatán coastline. Owner, Matt Spencer teamed up with the space’s previous owner, Mauricio Couturier (El Camino) to design the interior for Camino Riviera. As El Camino was a beloved San Diego hot spot, Spencer and Couturier wanted to pay tribute to the original location while exploring the beauty and raw elements of Tulum. With a deep appreciation of the artistry and architecture of the region, Camino Riviera will replicate the wanderer’s experience. The space aims to transport guests not only visually but is set to create a full sensory experience to evoke the spirit of the Riviera Maya.

Food

SDCM Corporate Executive Chef, Brian Redzikowski has curated an eclectic menu that integrates his unique style with Mexican cuisine. Chef Brian creates experiences that provide guests with exceptional food, but also form lasting memories and experiences that the guests come to enjoy time and time again.

At Camino Riviera, we believe that supporting community is essential in our industry and our menu features local farms and purveyors whenever possible such as Two Forks Farms and Three Boys Fishery. We also have specialty ingredients that are flown in from all over the world. Simply put, quality ingredients make great dishes.

Beverages

Camino Riviera designed a bar program built on classic cocktails while celebrating the spirits and flavors from all over Latin America. We source rare expressions of mezcal and tequila from some of the most revered producers in Mexico and strive to share an experience where tradition meets innovation. With cocktails and spirits, we aim to tell stories with every ingredient and process that we use. We are proud to be able able to connect and showcase some of the most unique flavors and talents that produce some of the rarest and finest mezcals and tequilas. Our passion for introducing spirits goes far beyond taste. We love to introduce the storied celebrations of Spanish traditions and give our guests an immersive experience.

Entertainment

Transport to jungles and beaches of the Riviera Maya with the sounds of percussion-filled Organic House Music and Afro-Latin inspired grooves. Live acts and DJs will be a staple of Camino Riviera day and night, Thursday through Sunday.

Bottle Service

Join us for a late night celebration of the Riviera Maya in our outdoor lounge. Late night lounge tables provide your party with your choice of liquor bottles from our extensive spirit list specializing in tequila and mezcal, a table with our attentive serving staff, and with easy access to the dance floor.
